Inside The Curriculum

The Engine That Supports Your Training.

Adult Conditioning is built to make the rest of your training better. Whether you grapple, compete, or just want to feel strong and durable, the class targets the conditioning qualities that translate directly to longer, harder sessions and faster recovery.

Expect a mix of strength work, cardiovascular conditioning, and mobility. The format is structured but adapts to who is in the room. New students are not asked to keep pace with veterans, and there is no expectation of prior strength-training experience.

Many adult BJJ students stack a conditioning session before or after class. Others use it as their primary training. Both paths are welcome.

What You'll Learn
  • Strength work scaled to ability
  • Cardiovascular conditioning blocks
  • Mobility and recovery work
  • Grappling-specific energy system training
  • Programming targeted at durability and longevity

Before You Sign Up

Common questions about Adult Conditioning in The Colony.

Do I need to train BJJ to take this class?

No. The class is open to adults who want general conditioning, with or without BJJ training. It also pairs well with the BJJ programs for students who want a complete training stack.

Is this a CrossFit-style class?

No. The programming is built around grappling-relevant conditioning: strength, cardio, and mobility that supports hard training rather than competing as a fitness sport.

I am out of shape. Can I start?

Yes. Movements scale to ability. You will not be asked to perform at a level you are not ready for. Conditioning improves as a result of training, not as a prerequisite.

How often should I attend?

Two to three sessions per week produces visible conditioning improvement. One session per week is fine for maintenance.
